Pastor Sid Whitfield, Jr., is
the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Sid and Lillie Mae Whitfield.
He is the eldest son of three siblings. As he grew into manhood
many decisions were made by him. Focusing only on the things
his natural eyes could comprehend, he made many bad decisions.
However; these decisions were the bridge to his meeting God.
Sid Whitfield, also known in the secular world as “Kim,”
was known in the county as a notorious drug lord. “Kim”
was no stranger to incarceration, due to the fact he spent
several years of his life bound in jail. Nevertheless; when
Jesus has a plan for your “Life” there is no CELL---that
can hold you.
In 1982, he married Daisy Whitfield; this began
the journey to the vision which God had set before him. In
1991, Sid Whitfield joined the vision that God had already
ordained from birth, he gave his life to God. He began the
journey looking and waiting for directions from God. He was
lead to the Broxton Church of God In Christ under the leadership
of Superintendent Elder Arthur Robinson. Pastor Whitfield
served as a Deacon, then the Lord call him to the ministry
and he became a minister of the gospel. Later he was called
up to Eldership, after taking the exam, administered by the
Church of God in Christ, and passing he was awarded License
as an Elder.
In 1999 after serving faithfully, God called
him out of that organization. God was ready to sit him in
the Vision. New Hope Covenant Christian Fellowship Center
was founded and birthed January 2000, by Pastor Sid Whitfield,
Jr., and Co-Pastor Daisy Whitfield. The organization began
in a store front church. Although the church had small beginnings,
Pastor Whitfield could still see the Vision God had placed
in him and he continued to seek God. He was able to purchase
the store front a 3400 square building, however; this wasn’t
the place God wanted the Vision to continue. Therefore God
sent him a block down the street to purchase a Beautiful Brick
Church along with a parsonage. Pastor Whitfield’s organization
consists of two beautiful sanctuary and a parsonage, two vans,
a television ministry, radio ministry, and is the proud owner
of Hope’s Car Wash.
God wanted to expand the Vision, He allowed
Pastor Aquilla Jordan along with her husband Elder Lewis Jordan
the Pastors of Star Bright Christian Fellowship Center to
look at Pastor Whitfield’s life. After looking and seeking
God, Pastor Jordan came under the umbrella of The New Hope
Covenant Christian Fellowship Organization. God is expanding
that ministry in Washington D.C. We can only look for future
out-breaks from God. The limits have been taken off God and
Pastor Whitfield along with New Hope and Star Bright wait
on the EXPLOSION that God is going to bring to both. God has
truly begun to open the Vision to him.
Remember that Following
Christ Will Lead U 2 God!!
